These sarees are purely handmade with hand block print techniques using vegetable dye, not using any harsh chemicals or acids. Minor inconsistency in print, lightness or darkness of print in some areas are natural in hand block print. These are not defect, but adds to individuality and uniqueness to the item.

Natural indigo will colour bleed and care has to be taken when in contact with lighter color fabric and objects like leather.

This saree is made using natural indigo dye and colour bleed is expected. Color bleed in indigo fabric is expected and is not considered a defect.

FAQ:
1. My indigo dress color bleeds a lot, will it lose its beauty after wash?
Ans : No, these are made of natural indigo dye without using any acids or harsh chemicals. The bagru design is printed block after block multiple times to get the desired print. The cotton fabric absorbs excess indigo dye during the process, which will come off during initial washes. This will not reduce the beauty of the fabric. We recommend hand wash at normal temperature and hang to dry in shade, this will preserve the beauty of the kaftan long term.

2. What type of dye is used in Bagru/handblock printing
Ans: Natural indigo dye /vegetable dyes are used . No harsh chemicals or acids are used in the process. This is light on environment, skin and nature.
